SRI vs. CAI - Bang for the buck

It all depends on where you want your power band. If you look at any dyno the CAI will show a greater hp jump in the low to mid rpm range. the SR is designed for high rpms. The whole idea behind the CAI is not for cold air like advertised, as Eviloliv3 said at speed the temp out side is the same as the temp inside. SO therefore the only reason to have the long tube is for flow velocity. The longer the tube the faster the flow goes. But if you make the tube to long then you choke off the top end. So that is why the SR is better for the top end. So as for which one is better, it all depends on your engine package. So if you plan on building a engine to rev up to say 9000 the CAI is not the best intake for your car, SR is. So on and So forth.
