What does this pump do?

Thanks guys, I think that is it, haven't pulled the battery to get a better look yet. It is a GS car. Is it really that expensive? If so, I won't fix it just to have ABS...as long as it's not needed to keep good brake pressure. Just curious, why do people delete a good ABS system though? I won't have it on my 56 ford panel truck, but I do like it on my newer cars...

ABS is typically deleted just for looks or because ones abs system is faulty and its cheaper to do the delete than get the system fixed in most cases. Sounds like you need a new one of what I am pulling out if you are interested in buying it let me know. I'll let it go for 50 shipped
