    Replaceco2sensors

I initially got an NGK O2 sensor and I had to replace that 2 years later. I then got the Denso, and that seems to be running strong after 4 years. Fars as I know, main concern of using a faulty O2 sensor, is that the catalytic converter will have a reduced life span. I can't say for sure that's...

Front crossmember labor costs/time to repair?

Yeah, 2 hours is the bare minimum a trustworthy shop would charge. While they're at it, have them inspect the power steering rack and pinon for leaks, and have them replace the inner/outer tie rods if they're 'old', which should be close to "free" labor, and of course alignment is a must...

How much is a good Integra GS (2000) worth

Your asking price is GSR territory in my neighborhood. You can buy 60k mile non-GSR engines for these cars on ebay for like $500 shipped. :-/. Did you replace the head gasket, with one capable of handling turbo? Any rear suspension work done? I.e. LCA/upper control arm bolts aren't seized up...

    New Integra Owner

Fuel injectors caused me to get a CEL (check engine light). Ignition coil, located inside the distributor, is known to go bad with this car's generation, and can leave driver's stranded on the road; so I'd replace the entire distributor assembly as well, personally. When putting the...

    Difficulty of replacing front LCA?

Yeah I found out the hard way that Integra's come with sway bars unlike 5th gen civic on my first attempt. The bottom nut of the stabilizer link refused to come off; a piece of the 5mm hex bent when I turned the hex part instead of the upper nut, due to rust. But I was able to use a hammer and...

    Frozen Rear Toe Adjustment Bolt!!

Thanks for responding. I decided to heat up the bolt head and and dowse the bolt head with beeswax. And after it cooled down, go ahead and spray penetrating fluid (very flammable) along the compensator arm bushing, and through the tiny hole into where the nut [link to HT post w/picture]...

    Are leather seats worth it?

I got del sol seats installed on my car. It gave me more 3 inch of additional head room allowing me to use a seat cushion. Since it's not leather I don't have to worry about it tearing again. No one was interested in buying my passenger leather seat without rails for $35, so go figure.

Can rear LCAs with seized bolts be replaced by burning out the rubber bushings?

I paid $400 to have a shop replace the rear LCA. 3 of the six bolts needed to be grind out. The ones near the gas tank did not need to be grind out. http://imgur.com/6XD8cFt http://imgur.com/Nw2Aqox They damaged the trailing arm/LCA assembly facing away from the muffler though, and are...

    Difficulty of replacing front LCA?

My front left wheel has a caster of -0.5 degrees whereas the acceptable factory range is 2.2 to 0.2 (according to the alignment print out). Four years ago I hit a curb head on that destroyed the splash shield, leaving me to assume that front left LCA was bent due to this. The car has a severe...

Can rear LCAs with seized bolts be replaced by burning out the rubber bushings?

After removing the welded nut on the opposed end of the bolt head (with the thread still in tact), could one then proceed to burn out the black rubber bushings encircling the sleeves, to remove the bolts holding LCA in place? My source of heat would be a propane based torch. The bolts are...

    Frozen Rear Toe Adjustment Bolt!!

Thank you for responding. Could the bolt be loosened with a 6" long wrench/quarter drive socket after its been heated lubricated? It seems a 2' breaker bar is unacceptable in this situation.

Help selling my beloved 2000 GS Sedan

When was the timing belt last changed? They are supposed to be changed every 60-90 thousand miles. Since you're in Hawaii, one wouldn't need to worry about rust when working on the rear suspension which is great. But yeah 2500 is a good starting point.

    Frozen Rear Toe Adjustment Bolt!!

Will heating the bolt head alone (w/propane torch until red hot) do the trick? The reason I'm asking is the threaded part is over 2cm away. I'm also concerned about damaging the bushing. We routinely get snow and salt sprayed on the road here. Alignment shops refused to adjust the right rear...

Aftermarket strut suspension with Allen Wrench screw hole?

Turns out the Koni strut's piston rod, can be held with a 6mm open ended wrench, smh. Using a vise grip was useless to loosen the top nut after 6 months of installation, since the rod was turning and getting scrapped off.. Thanks to this thread (and Google)...

    New Owner....Integra common problems?

One of the best posts I've come across on the forum. If anyone can correct/re-state the bolded part it would be appreciated. Additionally: Brake light comes on when weather is cold (which may be the result of 'Rear calipers freezing') Defective trunk latch actuator will eventually cause factory...

To buy or not to buy 98 -00 integra

Yeah, VTEC (170hp) only come in the GS-R and Type R trims. If you're willing to do repairs yourself, I'd definitely consider buying it. If not, be ready to spend 4-6k on labor to get it up to 200k miles. It's considered an 'easy car to work on' minus the rusted bolts, if you live in a place...

    OEM Strut re-installation help needed

I was in a rush, and needed to be out of an area where I wasn’t supposed to repair my car. After lowering the car to the ground, front left (driver’s side) strut appears like the following image when I open the hood. Already has a crush washer on it, right under the strut mount bolt. When I...

    My 2001 Integra GS

I have the exact same model but automatic, since 140k miles (224km). $4,000+ in maintenance including tires, over the past 2 years, over the past 2 years. Could have been 2 thousand if I just asked for a diagnosis and did a few more repairs myself, including timing belt and botched brake...

    Car acting up

Before I replaced my fuel injectors, my car would move quicker ('launch forward') after 5k rpms, and felt very slow below that. I also smelt fuel fumes in the cabin. I had a P1399 Check engine light. Mechanic said it was the result of one of the fuel cylinders misfiring. Haven't had the CEL...
