And I might actually fix my Integra this year....

But wait, now you want another XR?

Why would being street legal already matter? Everyone says that Tennessee is one of the easiest states to make anything street legal

I just want a motard for around here because of how fucking slow people drive, and the rest of the good bikes are MX bikes that have to be rebuilt every 3k miles so XR it is, if I can get one.

And realistically I can buy a regular XR that I have to make legal for 2500-3000, or I can buy a legal one with sumo rims for 3000-3800 :D

That's exactly why I asked. The last street legal 650R I seen for sale where I live, they wanted 7k for it.

Fucking LOL...

Yeah most of the ones here aren't particularly pretty, but plastics are relatively cheap, and I can always tear it down and clean it up.

Most expensive one I've seen was a one owner with a big tank, baja lights, and all kinds of little stuff like excel rims, protaper bars, aftermarket triple clamps, bark busters and some other shit, and it was only listed for 5500.

R1 is still priority, but if I can find a decent XR when I have the money then I might as well buy it and get used to riding again.

Aftermarket exhaust, painted frame, 450r fork conversion, big front brake, that bike's every bit worth the 5k, but most XR's just have cheap ass warp9 rims (good rims, just cheap  ) and a headlight kit. Only worth 3500 at most

Usually North Carolina or Chattanooga, and sometimes GA has a couple of XR's to choose from, there's not exactly an abundance of them, but they usually can be found.

Fuck the L, that thing is a total fucking pig.

Here's the current selection:

'02, legal with dirt tires $5500

'01with some basic stuff $2000
http://chattanooga.craigslist.org/mcy/5612993920.html

'02 Sumo, kinda gay looking, but meh  $4000
http://hickory.craigslist.org/mcy/5642309130.html

'01 Sumo for $3000, plastics are ruined and it's filthy, but it's probably the one I'd most likely buy because it looks like the guy cares more about riding it than looking cool

Another '01 with aftermarket electric start and a bunch of other useless fancy shit  $5000

:rolf:

The big tanks are fucking dumb on those bikes, the stock tank is already about a 5 gallon tank, and I don't know if you realize or not, but 5 gallons on liquid sloshing around on the very top of a big ass bike gets a bit hard to hold onto sometimes

First time I got my old XR out in mud I went to lock up the rear and slide sldeways to turn around, fucking fuel shifting when I came to a stop and I just fell over :rolf: :rolf:

Idk if you realize or not, but the bikes I ride have a 3.7gal tank that is the frame, and a barely 1 gallon tank that I sit on :rolf:

Might as well just get a tank from a Boss Hog :rolf:

The C70 probably gets 80-90mi/tank  Figure if I fabricate a mount to attach it to the seat hinge, I could add a sub-tank made for a Z50 and it could go another 30-40mi.

Just get some MSR fuel bottles and stick 'em in your backpack, then you could probably go 400 miles without needing to stop.

Except for having to get off the bike to put fuel in because the tank sits under my ass... :rolf:
