Lets use a little common sense. You only started having the issue right after you put in your new distributor... That right there tells you something is up. Your new distributor is likely a china one from Autozone or something huh? I am telling you right now, that if it happened right after you changed distributors then it is your "new" distributor that is messed up. Common sense should have told you that. Source out a working OEM distributor and your problems will be fixed.
Also, get the proper ECU for your motor. Having the wrong ecu is why you were throwing check engine codes.
