    DB8 what to do

I guess, the key is how much time can you let it sit on the back burner? If the answer is indefinitely, than it probably won't ever be a true money pit. The longer I can wait out Craigslist or parts yards, the greater the chance I'll happen upon the pieces I need for a good price. If I have to...

Bad noise from wheel or axle area, Please help!

I agree with others, take a video. Have a friend pace your car on that side and take a video. My sister-in-law described something very similar to me once and it was a wheel bearing issue. And I had something really similar when I had about 600 lbs in the back of my Integra and the fender was...

    Slowtec's 1996 LS

Hey CI. I have owned this 1996 Integra LS since July of 2005. I haven’t made many modifications to it because I never really had the time or the money. Not that I didn’t have money, just none was ever allocated for the car. And times haven’t really changed, other than I’ve been sacrificing time...

wheel stud and wheel bearing replacement.

Separating yes, destroying no. I had to replace two front wheel studs. And I removed and replaced the same hub without changing the bearing. I will admit there was some luck involved. Used a similar size socket to carefully hammer the hub off of the bearing, then used an impact to suck the...

Merry Christmas! And my car broke...

Dude! Thanks for showing me that, I went ahead and ordered them! There are so many things going on with my old Integra that it is kind of ridiculous. I was in Home Depot earlier today pricing out a new sheet of hardboard that I was going to trace out and cut a new trunk sub floor/spare tire...

Merry Christmas! And my car broke...

Thanks, Nick. I know it is my tail light gasket. But it's been raining really hard and I don't have a covered space, so I went out earlier and grabbed all my stuff out, rolled up the carpet and took out the subfloor, which have now dried out in my rear entry. Drilled a quick hole below my...

Merry Christmas! And my car broke...

Merry Christmas everyone! Got some good news and some bad news... I'll give you the bad and end on a high note. My Integra is broken. CV joint on the passenger side is making loud clunking, ticking noises whenever the car moves. Happened 200 miles from home. (And I did not want to...

what did you do to your car today?

    CV Axle Install

Expert level Axle Nut removal right there. My dad used to do this to remove axle nuts back before I was even a twinkle in his eye. He tried to explain it to me over the phone when I was stuck a few months ago... I never thought I'd come across it out in the wild. You sir, have my respect.

    Raceland Coilovers for Dc2

This post got me wondering, so I looked around. They are not uncommon with the UK imports at all. Seems like dozens of the VW guys have run them for years trouble free. I have seen a couple of failures shown on a Subaru forum, but even that post listed positive review after positive review even...

Portland, OR Weekly Meet "Red Door Meet"

I had a good honest chuckle at this for a good 10 minutes. (Not that I think it is incorrect, but just how it was said) Maybe I'll show up ChopShop... my Integra has fallen on hard times, so unless you guys are cool with an old honey badger-looking-car who doesn't give a shit... I'll probably...

    Best Suspension for bumps?

That is what has haunted me for years regarding suspension setups. For one thing, the Integra is my commuter car. Period. I don't drive it except to and from work. I work all over the state and my average commute is easily an hour and a half one way, up to 5 hours one way. When I selected the...

what did you do to your car today?

Installed leather rear seats, replaced the air filter, changed the oil, and replaced the rear brake pads with EBC Ultimax pads. Feels more solid when I was driving around, but that's more likely attributed to the 'peace of mind' aspect.

    New LS Owner

Just go through the maintenance checklist. Since you said it came from a slob, you probably have a lot of stuff to do. I usually go out driving for about an hour, write down anything I notice that I want to investigate and then add that to my regular maintenance stuff... not that I actually get...

I like your girlfriend's sister's friend's cousin's aunt's best friend's brother's girlfriend's puppy. It's cute. Also I concur with your prior comment that was in response to my comment.

    ^.^Anything Goes Chat for Noobies!^.^

Damnit, what a shitty day it's been. I was up late last night joking with an old friend from out of state who's working on a Turbo Civic build, we had a joke about all the 'crews' that pop up at test and tunes and track days and we make a joke crew and I draw him a sticker as a joke, it's like 2...

Fricking Biblical Downpour in Beaverton this evening.... Anyways, I'm going to figure this out. What days of the week are you guys typically free? Weekends only? Friday afternoons? Middle of the week best? I'm pretty hella flexible, I work in town and am usually off and able to do stuff after...
