Best car under $25k in your opinion?

A guy at my work has a focus st with the ford racing ecu, it's quick and a nice car. My money would go toward a 07-08 Acura tl-s; I had a 02 TL-s loved it, and with time there was nothing but improvements

Please help..Spent alot of money and need advice!

I would start by getting a second opinion from a different shop. are you capable of doing a leak down or compression test yourself?

    Question about headers!!!!!

None, the minimal gains you get from a header isn't enough to change the AFR

Need help bypassing the high idle when the coolant temp is low.

I believe that sensor is similar to the oil pressure sensor in that it's a on/off switch type once it sees a pre-determined temperature. If this is the case it would work one of two ways, if you unplug it it will open the circuit telling the ecu the coolant is always at temperature, or...

    K-Swap, LS VTEC, or neither?

What do you mean "improper oil passages"? Because it doesn't have squatters that spray oil and the Pistons and a hold hole for the vtec solenoid that something's is wrong? If the squirters were a necessity why would honda has left them off? And have you never heard of someone removing them...

    K-Swap, LS VTEC, or neither?

I assume he already has a LS, and he isn't talking about making 800whp, so the strength of the block has no impact on his goal... Until someone's power goals require the need to sleeve the block, there's no reason you should shy away from a LS block!

    K-Swap, LS VTEC, or neither?

Ls with type-R pistons and a gt28rs with a .48A/R. That should give you plenty of low end

    K-Swap, LS VTEC, or neither?

I have a b20 with a b16 trans in my integra, definitely a good combination, you will have more low end, and should you want a little bump in power you could make a b20vtec with it!

    K-Swap, LS VTEC, or neither?

If your friend was pulling away as you described you will need more than just a k swap or ls vtec... What kind of power would you like to make? What does your friend drive and what's done to it? everyone has their own definition of fast; I used to think my 15 second dodge neon was fast, now I...

    eyes set on a 95

I've always wanted a J swapped civic, after owning a TL-s I would love to have that power/torque in a chassis that weighed 1k lbs less! I wonder if anything would be interchangeable if swapping a C instead of a J

    eyes set on a 95

As stated before, you will not make 300whp with a NA B-series, possibly a K, but it will cost an arm and two legs. You will need a turbo to make the kind of power you are talking about, and you can daily drive the car with that power level; I have a friend that daily drives his 600whp civic...

Merry Christmas! And my car broke...

Sorry to hear about your recent problems; but I'm glad you are fixing such minor issues! The axles are a cheap and easy repair, generally ~$60 each. It depends on your mechanical ability, but for me they are an easy fast repair. The hardest part would be getting the axle nut off, but my...

    Question about headers!!!!!

I would lean towards the DC as well, although I got mine for free because the welds from the pipe to the flange cracked on #2 & #3, the "ebay special" will make the same or similar power; you're more likely to had fittment and weld issues

    Running light

Before you start throwing parts at it you need to diagnose the problem. Remove the bulb and see if there's power there with a multimeter. If not check the wires running into the plug

    troubleshooting wanted

Have you checked if there's a blockage in the core? You can disconnect the two hoses that run to it and blow through to check if it's clogged

I love the bug eyed wrx's! I'm not to farmiliar with the ej series engines, is it normal for torque to fall so much? I don't see a cam listed, that's the bottle neck with my mr2
