my buddy's 98 ls ran a 15.4 w/ only i/h/e and on 18's and full interior. its not unheard of, it all depends on the driver, condition of motor, how well the motor was built, the tires, the temperature, qualty of gas etc...(just to name a few.) sounds like you're on the right track though.

honestly man, if you bought a type r for straight-line speed, then you bought the wrong car. i'd suggest upgrading your suspension (yes its great stock, but it still can be improved,) and i might add a few parts onto your motor for a little extra umph. its a great track car...not drag car.

the only thing is (and this is another arguement all in itself) is that all motor isn't always safer. if you're looking for 11-12 second passes from an all motor car, then you'll need to do obvious things like up the c/r and the such. doing so, you'll still be at risk for blowing your motor...

wha??? psi only pertains to turbo/sc'd motors. if a motor is ALL MOTOR (meaning no turbo or supercharer or nitrous,) then how could psi effect it? unless you're talking about the tire pressure or something? EDIT: btw, go turbo. more power, less money.

why roll your eyes at that? its very true. the peak power from the b18c1 motor is made at 7600 RPM, therefore if you remain in that gear longer, your h/p and tq numbers drop off after that. yes, its only 400 rpm, yes that's a very short time, but you would be faster shifting at that point...
