    Seat/harness question

The seatbelt light is controlled by a switch in the stock bucket seat. When you remove the seat you have to unplug that switch. Depending upon whether the switch turns on the light in open or closed state, you may have to make a jumper and short the plug. You should have no problems keeping the...

    mirror block off plate help

Probably the best way would be to cut a piece of steel larger than the area and bend it to fit the inside contour of the door. cut a couple of sheet metal discs to match the diameter of the holes you want to fill and weld this inside the door. Now you would have a stable surface to apply body...

    95 integra brake lights problem

That's what I thought 'pocketed' meant. But I didn't want to call someone a low down miserable theif based on just my interpretation. Even worse is someone who is a low down miserable theif and is so stupid that they brag about it. If someone woudl steal cheap parts, would you trust them to...

When I went from the stock air box to a K&N intake I gained 1 or 2 miles per gallon. And yes, I have a spread sheet documenting milage for the entire 220,000 miles I have owned this car.

Check out Amica. Their service is great. Price seems reasonable for three cars but there is a discount in there because they also insure my house.

    P.O.S Acura Integra GSR build

I had my windows tinted by a professional and I watched. He did not take any glass out of the car. After watching the contortions he had to go through to do the rear hatch It would probably be easier to take the hatch off and put it on a padded bench but he did an amazing job.

    Blue button under dash.!:O

When Acura first came out they partnered with British Leyland and a British version of the car was built that had more wood in the interior. The button under the dash is the 'Lucas' button. This is a homage to the Lucas Electrics that most British cars like Triumph and MG were wired with. When...

    Switching between regular and premium..

Ethanol added to your gasoline by Federal/State mandate because it is a "renewable/green" fuel source. Some things you might want to remember about ethanol: 1. In the USA, most ethanol comes from corn. Corn is the most common feedstock for chicken, pork and beef production. Increased...

    Switching between regular and premium..

An understandable discussion on blending of gasoline for summer and winter use can be found here. Down and dirty: All blending is further complicated by state and federal interference. In many cases where the politics trumps the science to our detriment.

    Switching between regular and premium..

A VERY basic primer on octane rating can be found here. For those with too little time to read it, the important parts are: Severe knock causes severe engine damage, such as broken connecting rods, melted pistons, melted or broken valves and other components (this is known as bad things)...

    Switching between regular and premium..

I have always avoided running anything less than the octane specified for any of the cars I have owned over the years. Current price spread in Georgia between regular and premiium is $0.30 per gallon. With our twelve gallon tanks that works out to $3.60 per fill up. That is too little money to...

    Switching between regular and premium..

Actually 86 octane was never premium. Long ago and in a galaxy far far away we ran 98 octane as premium and if we had heavily modified our motors, 125 octane aviation fuel.
